Police launch desperate search for teenage girl, 16, who vanished from her home four days ago

Police have launched a desperate search for a teenage girl who vanished from her home four days ago. 

Courtney Barrowcliffe, 16, was last seen in the Linton area near Swadlincote, South Derbyshire, at around 10pm on Monday, June 7.

Police said officers are ‘growing concerned’ for her safety and have now made an appeal to the public.

The force released an image of the teenager, who has links to Long Eaton and Nottingham city centre.

In the photograph she is seen wearing a tan/brown coat and a red jersey with a large white logo.

Courtney is described as being around 5ft 2ins tall, white, and having long straight brown hair. Police say she may be wearing make-up.

In a statement, Derbyshire Police said: ‘Officers are growing concerned for the safety of a missing teenager from Swadlincote.

‘Courtney Barrowcliffe was last seen in the Linton area on Monday 7 June at around 10pm. 

‘Enquiries have been ongoing to find her, but we are now appealing to the public for help.’
