A body has been found in the hunt for a teenage boy who got ‘into difficulty’ in the water at a Rotherham reservoir. 

South Yorkshire Police’s underwater search team made the grim discovery at Ulley Reservoir near Rotherham this evening, the force confirmed in a statement.

No formal identification has yet taken place. The boy’s parents have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers. 

Police were first called to Ulley Reservoir near Rotherham around 3pm to reports that the boy was struggling.
