Dryer sheets are often sold down the laundry isle of supermarkets or convenience stores.

The trend has since been viewed by millions of people around the world who were shocked to discover the unique trick.

‘Why have I not heard of this before?’ one person wrote.

‘I did this when I was little and still do it now,’ another said, a third added: ‘My mum used to spray our hairbrushes with static guard.’
