Giorgio Armani’s Luminous Silk Foundation ($105) beat out stiff competition from dozens of other brands to be labelled the ‘best flawless foundation’ at the David Jones Beauty Awards 2021.
This is thanks to the product’s effortless creamy coverage and radiant finish that has earned it the approval of dozens of Hollywood stars including the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, and supermodel Gigi Hadid.

One of the judges, makeup artist Nigel Stanislaus, said of the foundation: ‘Luminous Silk is super creamy, rich in colour, and very easy to blend and build up coverage.
‘This iconic foundation has been a staple in my kit for 21 years. The coverage is very lovely and allows skin to look like skin but more expensive.’
And thousands of women agree with him.

On the David Jones website, the foundation – which comes in an impressive range of 40 different shades – has a 4.8 star rating and close to 250 glowing reviews.
‘One of my must haves. It isn’t cheap but it’s worth it,’ one recent shopper posted.
‘Medium coverage and buildable, but does not cake up or feel heavy. The one key difference is that this foundation gives you a GLOW which makes you look million dollars.’

What sets the foundation apart from other products is the fact that it has been formulated with micro-fil technology.
This produces a ‘low-density product that pairs high-impact pigments with weightless texture’.
