At least six family members, two adults and four children, were injured when their massive house in Pennsylvania, estimated to be worth $1 million, suddenly exploded late Wednesday morning.
Authorities said they received a call about an explosion at a West Brandywine Township home just before noon, and were on the scene within a minute, where they saw flames coming from the second-floor, FOX 29 reports.
When they entered the home, they found the victims suffering from burns, according to ABC 6.
One of the adults and two children were transported to a local hospital in a helicopter, officials told the local news station, and two others were taken to the hospital by ambulance. One person refused treatment.
It is unclear how many people were inside the home when it exploded.
Officials said the explosion shook the building next to the home before the flames broke out.
The cause of the explosion is also under investigation.

The fire continued to rage into Wednesday afternoon, ABC 6 reports, with firefighters bringing in nearly 60,000 gallons of water to douse it.
‘We had to bring in the tankers to support our water supply operation,’ Chief Todd Ziegler, of the Wagontown Fire Company, told the station.
‘Currently, we are drafting out of a pool, and we’re currently drafting our of a pond on the property.’
Officials said the home, which had an outside propane tank, was secure, but it suffered extensive damage.
The sprawling property has multiple buildings and a large pool, NBC Philadelphia reports. It is located directly across the road from the West Brandywine Township Municipal building and police department.
The home on the property is approximately 7,260-square-feet in size, according to Realtor.com, on a 10 and a half acre lot.
It is estimated to be worth more than $1 million, according to Zillow, and was last sold in 1987 for $220,000.
