‘Decision day’: Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo posts cryptic message as talk mounts on exit

Cristiano Ronaldo has posted a cryptic message that will spark yet more speculation about an exit from Juventus.

Posing next to his Rolls Royce, Ronaldo wrote ‘Decision day’ in an Instagram post that quickly earned seven million likes.

Ronaldo has been enjoying some time off after Portugal’s last-16 exit to Belgium in the European Championship, where he won the Golden Boot for top scorer in the tournament with five goals and one assist in only four matches.

 

His future is unresolved after a frustrating campaign with Juventus, who failed to win the Serie A title for the first time in 10 years and were knocked out of the Champions League in the last 16 by Porto.

He is yet to commit his future to Juve, who he joined in 2018 from Real Madrid and where he has only one year left on his contract, although he has not made any declaration about which club he wants to join.

Juventus, like many top clubs around Europe, are still grappling with the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic and may struggle to find the money to hand Ronaldo a new deal, with his current contract reported to be worth £3.8m per month.

Ronaldo has been linked with a return to two of his former clubs, Real Madrid and Manchester United.

There has also been speculation he could move to Paris Saint-Germain, who have been on a signing spree this summer, bringing in Sergio Ramos, Gianluigi Donnarumma and Georginio Wijnaldum on free transfers and buying Achraf Hakimi for £50m.
