Queen Maxima dons a golden number with matching sun hat to visit the Film Museum of Amsterdam

The Queen of the Netherlands put on a stylish display to visit a museum in Amsterdam today. 

Maxima, 50, donned a golden dress as she headed to the Eye Filmmuseum, where she learned about the institution’s educational programmes and exhibitions. 

Beaming in her sunny get up, Maxima was wearing a matching hat and gloves for the occasion. 

The museum, which just opened its new streaming platform Eye Film Player also got the royal go ahead for Eye on Screens, in which images from Eye’s film collection can will be seen on outdoor screens at stations, squares and shopping centers throughout the Netherlands for two years.

For her outing, Maxima opted for a golden dress with a detail of purple, blue and pink flowers. 

The delicate number was adorned with lace at the hem, the sleeves and at the waist. 

She paired the dress with matching accessories, including a small purple clutch bag and a pair of mustard gloves and a matching pair of swede heels. 

Ever prepared, she was holding a mustard shawl with matched the dress in case she needed to wrap up from the chill. 

The mother-of-three made sure that her golden jewellery complimented the dress and was wearing a lavish pair of golden drop earrings with a purple gem. 

Her wrists were adorned with statement gold bracelets and her watch which pocked out of her left glove. 

Her blond locks were styled in a stylish up-do tucked underneath her sun hat. 

Her beaming glow was enhanced with some very light touches of makeup, with a pink lipstick bringing a pop of colour and mascara and a line of purple liner around the eyes. 

During today’s visit, Maxima learned about the Eye Filmmuseum’s work and the activities they had on offer. 

She also heard how the institution had modernised its facilities with the launch of their streaming platform.
